Community Involvement
High School football can be a catalyst that brings the local community together unlike anything else. As a community becomes more and more invested in the football program, it creates a level of excitement each Friday night. Before we as a program can expect the community to support us, we as a program must first support the community. This will create a more consistent community support of the program, rather than a “with you when you’re winning” mindset.
Some of the programs initial community supports are, but not limited to the following
Groceries Saturday morning - groups of 3-4, help people push carts out to car
Lebabon Holiday Parade to help with set up/take down
Go to youth games/invite youth to games
Youth camp in the summer
Rake leaves and shovel snow
Youth Falcon Players on Saturday mornings
Clean the gym after a basketball or volleyball game
Food Bank fundraiser
Overall, we want our team and program to have a well known, positive impact making the community a better place. This will help establish our program within the community and draw people into games on Friday nights and build a positive atmosphere.
