Boosters/Fundraising
Boosters are one of the biggest cogs in the football program machine. Boosters help in organizing fundraisers, generating community support, and allow a unique way for parents to show support of the program. My goal is to meet regularly throughout the year with the booster club, more frequently with the booster president. Ideally, this is a parent in the program, but it can be anyone who wants to help support the program. Meeting’s will happen less frequently during the season, but I hope to form a partnership in the offseason with boosters as we fundraise and get involved in the community.
Our primary fundraiser will be through the Team Lift Off at our Max lift in August. This will be the equivalent of a Walk-a-thon in the weight room. Players will fundraise for donations based on the total amount of weight they are able to lift in three max lifts. Forms will be provided to players and they will be expected to gather donations, just as any other fundraiser. This is a way for players to showcase their strength and hard work that has gone into preparing for the year as well as raise money for our program. Each year we will aim to donate a portion of our fundraising to local youth football programs and local charities. Secondary fundraising will ideally be through but not limited to the following:
Athletic dues
Concession stand sales
Business sponsorships
Player and business ads in programs
Dine and dash at restaurants
Mattress Sale
Youth football camp in the summer
Snap Fundraising
Budget will be adjusted as needs arise and based on what is available to our program. We will always look for the best ways to spend the money that is graciously given to us. I aim to have oversight, but ideally, I will work towards boosters becoming its own working entity as a partnership with the head football coach.
